I’m pleased to announce a new art class at Laurel Bookstore in Oakland.



Saturday, April 8, 11 AM – 1PM.

We will experiment with combining watercolor painting with collage. Come prepared with a project to work on. If a portrait, you may want to bring several photos to work from.

Please bring basic watercolor supplies and collage supplies as follows.

Watercolor paint (preferably in a palette for ease of use); at least 2 brushes – 1 small, 1 med-large; watercolor paper/block; water container(s); a few paper towels; an object to paint (can be photos that you took yourself if you wish).; pencil and/or pen with waterproof ink. Several magazine or loose magazine pages, other interesting papers (wrapping paper, newspaper, etc.) or emphemera (stamps, stickers, etc.), scissors and glue stick.

I teach a monthly sketchbook class at Women’s Cancer Resource Center on the third Wednesday of each month from 6:30 – 8 PM. I usually bring in some samples or do a brief demonstration then  we have time to create together. This class is free and everyone is welcome to attend. Some supplies provided. Bring your sketchbook(s) and favorite supplies with you. You can click any registration link on this page
